Le Britney Spears!

Here’s Brit doing “Womanizer” live in Paris tonight.

Better outfit. Still dead in the eyes.

Thanks uncommongirl!

  • She seems to enjoy the show if you compare with the Bambi Award
I think you’re just a little too demanding on her.

  • I think she was kinda awesome, actually, some of the vocals were actually live (and sounded good), and she looked great.
Much better than at the bambi awards, and I mean, considering the pressure of everyone expecting a huge comeback from her, I’ll cut her some slack for being nervous

  • I think it would have been wise on her father’s part to take her away from show business for awhile for a little rest. I am really hoping she will rally but I fear that she is too fragile to be thrust right back into the public spotlight again. I hope I am wrong but having worked in the mental health field for many years I hope she doesn’t have another break.

  • Sure she’s still “dead in the eyes” but at least she’s actually putting some effort into her “dance moves” this time.

  • I’m not really a Britney fan, but I don’t think anyone sounds good singing and dancing. Of course, dancing takes your breath away. You’re a fool to think that your voice sounds the same when you’re sitting as opposed to when you’re moving. In my opinion, it’s already impressive enough that she’s able to singing along. I also imagine it’s difficult to find the right range and pitch to sing in when it’s so loud on stage.

Of course, it’s easy to criticize people when you’re sitting at home behind the computer.

  • Around 1:21 she makes a big nono by pulling up her top during a performance. If it’s gunna slip down then it needs to be glue to your skin.

  • Hey, did you guys see at about 1:28 where she has her back to the audience and seems to pull up her top quickly? Me thinks there was a wee wardrobe malfunction… or am I trippin’?

  • Oh and in that video i agree with one of the posters.. She’s not TRYING to sing in those video she’s merely singing along with the backing track so that she can lip sync accurately. Were she not actually singing she’d be way off. She can’t hear shit enough to sing on key to the backing track. It’s like when you’re listening to music really loudly and singing along and when you turn off the music you realize you sound like shit. And singing while dancing is really hard, just ask someone on broadway.

The part people are referring to above about her doing some vocals is at the very end of the song when they’re lifting her up. They bring her vocals forward and at that point she actually is trying and you do hear her real voice.

  • i think this one better than bambi. bambi is still great but it just that who is her crowd? see lot of old people & business kinda thang & it just silence. britney are the best popstar in the world. i bet uols agree with me.

  • We should bow down to the Donkey Punch for exposing the real talentless whore we know as Brittany….really, can you listen to the link and think past the visual distractions and not cringe at her lack of singing ability?
    Ouch…my ears are bleeding!!!

  • @Love the beet: That’s allegedly a fake clip. There were some other clips of her singing along well and talking at a sound check. She’s still crap though… anytime I see her looking somewhat decent a picture of “bald crazy Brit” flashes in my head. Ewww… she looked like an extra from some creepy “Chiller Diller” movie. (anyone remember Chiller Diller?!)

Speaking of (obscure TV references), anyone remember Russell and Me about a red headed monkey that lived in a tree or Zoom, another show that was sort of Sesame Street/Electric Company-sque show where they spoke their own language? Any time I bring that up my friends tell me that I’m crazy and those shows didn’t exist… (but I have an encyclopedic memory of TV shows so I know they are just “slow.” But it would be nice to have somebody else remember those shows!)

  • come on annnnd ZOOM! come on and ZOOM! the theme song sounded like it was made by the same creators of the ‘Blow-Pop’ ad from the late 80s. (Say from Charms!!!) I loved that show.

  • Unfortunately, the Star Academy TV program is very strict with the performers. There is no lyip-syncing allowed at all. Many artists have not been allowed to perform there because of that… Even Madonna last year sang live there.

  • i love how when she gets the flowers and is talking into her mic…she has no sound…like gee britney were u lipsynching much

  • um…she kind looks like she is on serious medication. Like there is a part of her that is not there at all. My friend who was a manic depressive looked like that when he was on his meds. Like he was kind of on another planet some time; he would snap back, but you could always tell it was a little effort to stay present and focused

  • I didn’t see any difference between this performance and the Bambi one. I want dancing Britney back.

  • Amen Persistent Cat.

Im not asking for belly T-shirts, or the famous red cat suit. I am asking that her outfit doesn’t distort her figure or her chest to unfathomable lengths. It’s better, in that it doesn’t look like Maddona, but it looks like that short white Paltrow dress–boobs in the wrong place. I’m starting to think that her inhibited dancing has a lot to do with her wardrobe. To add. Did she always dance in high heeled shoes?

  • I’d like to see her do a little more dancing. In Germany, I thought she was just marking time out of nervousness. Now I think that she really doesn’t have a lot of dancing to do. Watching the early Britney videos the thing that really got me hooked was the elaborate dance routines. I mean, who didn’t tape “Baby One More Time” off of MTV and wear the tape out, rewinding and replaying, to learn that shit?

  • I know what Britney Spears was thankful for this Thanksgiving: getting her figure back. Even if that means an unhealthy crash diet.

    Notes on Performance:
    -Cute outfit, not too slutty.
-Nice effects and better backup dancers.
    -Slow start, a little boring.
    -Gradually picked up.
    -The ending saved the show.

  • I think her performance was actually quite good, the one at X Factor is better though. I enjoyed it,so, whatever you say man
