Today's Evil Beet Gossip

In Case You Care

The new Guns ‘N’ Roses album — the first in seventeen years — debuts tonight on MySpace, where you can listen to it for free (if you haven’t already downloaded one of the leaked copies that hit the Internet awhile ago). The MySpace link is here.

The stream of Chinese Democracy will be available in 25 countries: US, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Russia, Turkey, Poland, India, Australia, New Zealand, Korea and Japan. I like how China’s not on that list.

Does anybody still give a shit about Guns ‘N’ Roses? If you’re excited about this, I’d like to hear your rationale in the comments.

  • nobody gives a fuck about them anymore. and, these morons should leave other countries’ political choices alone.

  • Um, back in the day I thought Axl was the hottest thing around. Sweet child o’ mine, come on, that is a great song. I’m not buying the album though.

  • I give a shit about Guns and Roses simply because Stephanie Seymor might resurface again.

God, I just loved her… so hot… but she lost major points when I learned she was dating Axl Rose. Every time I see him I just want to grab him and take him to the freaking dentist.

  • Lee, that was funny.

And beebeec, only one fossil. It’s only Axl left.

And I don’t think it’s meant to be a political commentary, just what he assumes to be a cool title.

  • I care! I love a bit of G’n’R :)

I honestly haven’t been paying a lot of attention to this record though because it has taken so damn long to make. So I haven’t heard a lot off it. I just hope it stays true to old school Gunners and doesn’t try to cash in on the emo scene kid market. That would suck.

  • How can it be GnR without Slash? When you think of GnR guitar riffs, solos, etc, that’s all Slash. And he has enough sense to not go around the personal train wreck that is W. Axl Rose. Honestly, I thought Chinese democracy would actually happen in China before this album was ever released.

  • One more…want to hear what GnR would be today without Axl’s Titanic-sized ego? Listen to Velvet Revolver.

  • Hello, are you guys serious? Good music is good music. Some of the biggest classics from the late 80’s and early 90’s are from these guys and Axl wrote almost all of his songs. So despite his odd ball plastic surgery, odds are this is not going to suck. Pick up Rolling Stone-the review nazi’s themselves give this four stars. Tune in kids, I think this is going to be a winner.

  • 2 things – Slash is hot, and his momma is hotter.

The other reason is to see how long it takes before Axle has another meltdown.

  • You’re right Victoria.. some of the best music of the 80s and 90s was by them. Maybe we should also bring back White Snake, Anthrax and Poison.
