Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Sarah Palin Exceeds Eloquence Expectations

Thank God this woman isn’t our VP.  When questioned about her geographical skills, she called the media “jerks” and stuck her tongue out at the reporter.  The tongue part is a lie; I have a rich fantasy life.  Regardless, this is truly the most finessed and polished wordage she could come up with?  How about something like “I dispute the facts as they were reported.”?  Gah!  Can you even imagine?  I can almost picture her at a briefing and being like “We have to get Osama Bin Laden.  He’s such a poopy pants!”

I think of other high-profile women in politics.  Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher, Corazon Aquino, Hillary Clinton.  Can you ever imagine one of them, while speaking to the media, calling the media jerks?  And how about that Miss Jackson if you’re nasty head snap at the end of the video?  She’s as fun as a peep show to watch but thank God she isn’t a heartbeat away from the presidency.

  • Word. Word. Word. Esp. the bit about women in politics. There’s even of Chancellor Angela Merkel in Germany. This notion that anyone can be president is something I don’t believe in. I DON’T think anyone is capable for high office, regardless of gender. And, it’s just like, not everyone can be a doctor, or soccer player. People are cut out for some things and not others. It’s a fact of life. Palin seems to think she’s entitled to it and not anyone else. And, I believe she’s the kind of person who if they did become president, would love the adulation but would then turn thoroughly nasty when things go bad, as they do – she just can’t cut it. She’s not a LEADER, but she sure is tyrant material. She’s the modern version of the Queen who would scream “off with their heads” when faced with criticism or dislike or anything negative. She’s the classic bad leader, making classic bad leader mistakes every step of the way. It also needs to be said that people voted into office and she has fans – that says something too.

  • The strong, political woman you forgot was the best choice; but was overlooked… Condaleeza Rice. She would have kicked everyone’s ass and taken names.

  • Yes, Codaleeza would have been great. She’s professional and intelligent but she does like good shoes.
I didn’t see a head “snap”, as such. She just looked away when finished.

  • It’s not the media she’s calling jerks, it’s the people on McCain’s campaign that are trying to sink her as a way of saving their own careers as political advisors. There have been a lot of problems with a few members of McCain’s team doing everything they can to make Palin look like she was the reason the campaign tanked. It’s backfiring, as who these people are is coming out and the word is spreading that there will be no grassroots backing of candidates who hire these people to run their campaigns.

I’m sure that Palin will do plenty of things that annoy and aggravate you over the next several years, I don’t see why you have to fabricate a headsnap.

When I think of Hillary Clinton speaking to reporters, I think of her saying, “I’m not going to have some reporters pawing through our papers. We are the president.” or “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” How very composed and presidential. She doesn’t even come close to Thatcher or Aquino or Rice.

  • All that to say, though, I think she’s right about critics being cowardly. If what she did is so damn bad, then have the balls to say it publicly. Otherwise, their criticism becomes more spiteful than anything. And detracts from any legitimate concerns. And the RP picked her anyway. THEY deserve some criticism too. So does McCain. On the whole there seem to be a whole lot of spiteful people there who were probably that way long before Palin came around. That they picked her still boggles my mind.

  • If Palin were smart, she’d say,”Look, I was thrust into the spotlight and I didn’t always handle it as well as I would have liked. I was sleep-deprived and nervous and didn’t always say the right thing. Would you if you were suddenly a candidate for vice president?”

But she’s not that smart, which is why I’m glad she didn’t get elected.

  • I guess it’s clear that she is no longer benefiting from the services of the campaign’s hair/makeup/wardrobe team.

  • i duno.. I feel like OF COURSE they would have to be anonymous… who would ever hire them if they were ratting people out? same as I feel of course McCain’s camp wants to blame her.. that’s how things always are. Everybody wants a scapegoats (but, I think it this case, there is definitely some truth behind it)

Man, Palin needs someone directing her every move. She is just… not a politician. The things that come out of her mouth surprise me.

  • Sarah Palin wasn’t “thrust into the spotlight”. She was asked and she accepted, “without blinking”. Considering her level of knowledge, that should make us seriously question her judgment. What Sarah Palin has is ambition, charisma, and the willingness to do or say whatever it takes to get ahead. While those things have taken her a long way, they are also likely to bite her in the ass.

  • The Republican party is doing everything in it’s power to prevent Palin 2012, if she tries to run they may as well concede the race to Obama when she announces her candidacy.

  • I dont think those anonymous sources are cowardly or stupid in the least sense! They are securing their own futures (job-wise) by staying anonymous so no one will not hire them or use this against them in the future…AND keeping their own reputations in tact, all while helping to screw up Palin’s reputation even more. Now thats brilliant! But no question, Palin is her own worst enemy and did enough damage to herself by being so damn unknowledgable and ahead of herself, this is just icing on the cake :)

  • She is so dumb, i wish people would stop talking about her and giving her that much attention, that’s all she wants..

  • haha you know what’s funny beebeec? when people talk shit that they hear instead of read. if you read the interview in which he made the comment, he was talking about the 50 states AND our proctectorates including US Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Mariana Islands. also, he wasn’t joking that she was in the hospital, but that she held séances in the White House. get your fucking facts straight before you show your ignorance.

  • @at St Remy…

    I know and I’m glad… because isn’t that what happens to evil?…

It implodes… further proof of their false and misguided faith.

    Yay God! : )

  • (:56): “and about the continent versus the country when we talk about Africa, there”

AFRICA IS NOT A COUNTRY. Just ask Dubya: “We spent a lot of time talking about Africa, and we should. Africa is a nation that suffers from incredible disease.” (Warsaw, Poland, Jun. 15, 2001)

  • Yeah well, Africa is a continent, but then again, wasn’t it your fabulous president elect that said “57 states.” Ya’ll bite! And watch how over the next four years we are completely ruined as a nation!

  • Uh, I think it’s been pointed out above, but the US has 50 states along with 7 inhabited territories (along with a slew of uninhabited territories).

All of you “Compassionate Conservatives” will learn that after Comrade Obama indoctrinates you into communes, where he’ll make abortions mandatory for married gay couples (but only after he gives away most of the $250k you haven’t earned from the business you haven’t started in an industry for which you aren’t licensed).

Here’s an idea: Everyone who thinks Sexy Sarah is so great, please demonstrate how mavericky you are and move to Alaska (which, not to confuse anyone, used to be… yep, you guessed it, a territory). Then cede from the Union. We won’t mind.

  • Why does she always sound like she’s getting lost in a corn maze when she’s speaking? Like I seriously can’t follow her, she never makes ANY sense.

Oh I hate her so. I have absolutely no sympathy for that white trash famewhore.
