Obama to Appear on SNL Just Before the Election?

Word on the street is that Barack Obama is secretly scheduled to do SNL on November 1, the last weekend before the election.

Lorne Michaels recently contributed $4600 to Barack Obama’s campaign, and NBC CEO Jeffrey Immelt contributed $10,000 to Joe Biden’s Delaware Democratic State Committee.

Hm.

  • That would be awesome. He’s been working hard and its time he could use a little comedy break before he becomes President ^-^

  • haha. this is funny. considering everyone was like “OMG sarah palin is running for vp and shes supposed to be doing more important things then being on snl!” well folks, heres your beloved barack HUSSEIN obama scheduled to be on snl. perfect:)

  • Um, Kaley, who said Sarah P. should be doing more important things than being on SNL? We all know she has nothing of importance to do.

(P.S., Kaley, your racism is showing)

  • That’s awesome.

Apparently McCain is suppose to appear at one point too. Unless he has to suspend everything again and go ‘save’ the economy.

  • Oh, I hope he doesn’t appear. Shows like Letterman are one thing, but presidential candidates on comedy sketch shows is just a sad and ridiculous phenomenon.

  • Hey, um…. KKKaley, How do show your non-face with a name like that? I do believe that YOU are American, like the pre-civil war American from the Confederate states. Change your name darlin’, before people start thinking things. You know, since names count more than the things people do.

  • Kaley, you make ME fucking sick.

Sorry for the mistake/double post but people like you make me sick.

  • I also agree with CJ. It seems dissrepectful to the title “President” to appear on a comedy sketch show. This is the job, the really, really important one, that will change America and the world, just like every President who had “the job” before this election. Sarah Palin lost some of her street cred by going on SNL, oh wait, she never had any…

  • Jesus H. Christ = Jesus “Hussein” Christ? Without a definitive birth certificate we’ll never know…

  • @ kaley: nobody thinks sarah palin has more important things to do than be on SNL. she doesn’t. but seeing how she is as dumb as a post, so she ought to be using every spare minute to try and cram some book learnin’ into that dimwitted head.

  • @ Kaley, if Obama is a “terrorist” why is one of the former leaders of the US military voting for him? I mean don’t you think Powell would know if he was a terrorist or not.

    You make my brain hurt.

  • Leave Kaley alone, she’s right.

You guys were all like (to sum it up) “Obama has better things to do and shows more respect for him NOT going on SNL unlike Sara Palin”

Now that he’s doing it you all defend him. You all worship the ground he walks on, and it’s sickening. Personally, I wouldn’t vote for either McCain or Obama, but considering there is no other choice that has a chance to get voted in, sadly, I’m voting McCain because I cannot stand Obama. He makes me cringe with every word he speaks.

I think it’s perfectly fine for them BOTH to go on. It shows a more human side to both of them. People like to relate to other people using humor, I think it’s a great idea.

  • I was under the impression most people knew that Obama, a presidential candidate, did in fact already appear on SNL–around the same time last year. The only real question here is will he be attending (crashing)the Halloween party as himself again or will he be the witch this time. (Fingers crossed. SNL don’t let me down like you have since the 90’s died and went to heaven…..)

  • I dislike both presidential candidates :( but between the two of them I dislike Obama more. I don’t understand why everybody likes him so much although I do understand why so many people dislike McCain ;)

  • I’ve just realized that I am very bitter in genreal and I don’t like anybody at all. God, please stop the world, I want to get out.

  • I find it quite amusing that most republicans on this site will lump all Obama supporters together and direct their responses at all of us, while most Obama supporters direct their responses to individuals. What’s up with that?

  • Keightlynn, if you actually look at what upset some people about the post, it had NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS. I would have had the exact same reaction if it was a Democrat talking about a Republican.

While I plan to vote for Obama, I’m hardly a supporter and have been very critical of him but shit like that is uncalled for. If it makes you borderline racists feel better, I also get pissed when I hear people call McCain ‘McSame’.

    HUSSEIN! HUSSEIN! HUSSEIN! Oooh, scary!

  • Oh now, even Barak made a joke about his name at the Alfred Smith dinner – but I don’t agree with people who say just because that is his middle name that he is automatically a terrorist. I know a few ‘Husseins” and they are honest hardworking people. I don’t agree with his policies or his ‘vision’ – and I also think his name is the last thing people should be worrying about. We can’t choose what our parents name us. Look at how Gillian Anderson has named her kids Oscar and Felix…that is just blatant child abuse.

  • @Dan

I wasn’t talking about her name calling, I was referring to what she said about Sarah Palin. I thought I made that pretty clear. Guess not.

  • fuck sorry i said HUSSEIN. but you guys are giving me all kinds of attention:)
and just to make it clear, i dont support either one of them.
Mccain is a FUCKING OLD hot head republican. Sickening.
and Obama is underexperienced and kind of an ass. and yes, i question his loyalty to america. SO THERE.

  • Eyes of Green, I appreciate what you wrote about using Obamas middle name.

Unfortunately, there are people out there who emphasize his middle name, like Kayley did, for a specific reason.

    Those people are asshats.

(I, personally, don’t think Obama should go on SNL until after the election. I doubt that he will.)
