Today's Evil Beet Gossip

No on Prop 8!

Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw, have followed in Brad Pitt’s footsteps, donating $100K to fight Proposition 8, the ballot initiative that would ban gay marriage in the state.

“By writing discrimination into our state constitution, Proposition 8 seeks to eliminate the right of each and every citizen in our state to marry regardless of sexual orientation. Such discrimination has NO place in California’s constitution, or any other,” the couple said in a statement.

Additionally, it has been brought to my attention that my home state of Arizona once again has an initiative on the ballot to ban gay marriage this year. It’s called Prop 102, and you can learn more about fighting this hateful legislation here. Arizona had the good sense to defeat this initiative in 2006, so, Arizonans, make sure you get out to the polls to make sure it goes down again in 2008. Let’s keep shutting this BULLSHIT down.

  • I personally have many gay friends but I do not agree with homosexuality, and they are all fully aware of that, but we still remain friends.
So do not take my next comment has being “homophobic”.
But I think that marriage should be between a man and woman, hence why the same sex ban in Ohio had my vote.

  • re; keightlynn

just based on your idiotic post i’ve got three guesses.

    1. you’re fat
    2. your gay friends call you a cunt behind your back
    3. you’re fat

  • @ keightlynn…

    I hear you girl

I knew this dude named Ned who fucked a goat once. Personally I didn’t approve of this interaction, but me and the goat are still friends.

  • I am asking a serious question here…if the “ideal” is a marriage between a man and a woman, and that “ideal” is Biblically based, i.e., based in religious belief, and our country is supposed to sustain separation of Church and State, why is there even a question of the validity of these amendments? Seems like since they impinge on the basic premise of sustaining that separation and also feed into a mostly Judeo-Christian belief system, it’s not a legitimate initiative in the first place.

The continued denial of equal rights by basing it on traditional mores screams bigotry. If we continued with “tradition” as it stood, women would be possessions of their fathers and then their husbands, blacks and women could not vote, there would be no education for so called “lessor” ethnicities, back room abortions and their horrific aftermath would abound, beatings would be routine, and the financial world and all it’s decisions and ramifications would still be run by the elitist with the purest shade of skin, possessing a dick. Oh, wait, many of things still do exist. When, WHEN, is that step going to be taken to make that change? Pitiful, aren’t we?

Honestly, I’ve just never understand WHY it is of such importance to deny someone their right to love whom they wish, if it isn’t hurting anyone else? Consenting adults should be free to live as they wish without censure.

    Fear. A powerful tool.

Medieval leaders wielded it well; dictators continue to, but America is supposed to FREE, or as free as humanly possible. But, I guess, only for those that are the “chosen”.

Sorry, this subject is just the tip of what ails this country; time would be better spent in the classrooms, the boardrooms, society as a whole, than peering into other’s bedrooms to see if you’re missing something.

    Blech.

  • But, I’m not necessarily going to agree with the “fat” thing. Ann Coulter, Fred Phelps, Gary Bauer, and Keightlynn’s own Linda Harvey are all pretty skinny.

  • I’d edit my typos in my former post but there’s no edit. Sorry. I just had a stream of consciousness that made my fingers a little less sure on the keyboard.:-)

    censorthis, don’t ask, don’t tell.:-)

  • re; yeah

oh, now you’re just teasing me with the ‘fingers a little less sure on the keyboard’ talk. you devil you!

  • me too socialite. burn ’em at the stake is what i say. i’m just glad they’re going to leave us the fuck alone someday when the rapture comes. i’d rather be poked in the ass by a three headed tony orlando in hell than listen to another fucking christian speak of ghosts and zombies that come back to life. the next one that knocks on my door with a pamphlet on sunday is going to see what it feels like to have a hole in his forehead big enough to drive a nail through. crown of thorns my ass!

  • re:censorthis…. YOU ARE MY HERO…. my girlfriend and I live in Arkansas….not exactly lesbian heaven. Such creativity is so hard to find, and I laughed so hard at your three headed tony orlando i thought i may pee myself. Wanna go find some Jehovah’s Witnesses and try to convert them to Playboy?

  • @ censorthis

    I am not fat.
    I am 5’3″ 110lbs unpregnant (currently, I am 12 weeks.)
Nor am I ugly, I consider myself pretty average.
And since you probably won’t believe me here is what I look like-
    http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b383/xoishyox/Katelynn665.jpg
Nor am I old, I am 19, so I’m am completely in touch with this topic.
Nor am I a republican, NOR am I democrat.

My friends do not think I am ignorant. They believe that it is my choice to believe what I believe, and they respect my opinion. We have had many conversations about it, and my gay cousin even thinks being gay is wrong, but does it anyway. He also thinks interactions with minors are wrong but he does it anyway also, and he just served three years in jail for it. I do not force my opinions on them, if that’s their choice, whatever, but they know that I don’t agree with it.

I am allowed to have my opinion and voice it, whether or not you think I am right or wrong. And attacking what you think I may look like and what my friends may think of me just shows me you are very immature.

  • re; keightlynn

i admire you having the balls to post your image and appreciate your detailed and passionate response. i’m sure your gay convict cousin became a pedophile after being raised in a home much like yours, one that was obviously open to discussion about differences in sexuality among other critical matters. good luck raising your baby in your selfish, arrogant, insensitive, gaybashing bubble of a world. alas, if you weren’t such a cunt i’d love to have made out sometime.

  • @ censorthis

He was actually raised in a home were drugs and homosexuality were taught as acceptable, believe it or not.

I didn’t bash anyone. I just said I don’t believe in gay marriage, it’s just my personal opinion but thank you anyway for calling me names, again. It’s awesome and I love it. Do it some more, it turns me on.

Coming from you, I will take that as a compliment. XD

  • re; keightlynn

okay, but before we move forward in our relationship could you please send more images that prove you’re not fat? i only spank horny young pregnant fat chicks on wednesday around here.

    xoxoxoxo

  • re; wittyblueeyedblonde

sure, i’m up for anything you guys want….umm….not to change the subject, but can i sit at the foot of your bed and watch? i promise to be as quiet as a mouse. a mouse with a raging hard on, that is! sweeet!

  • @ keightlynn

Please read Yeah’s first long post. Don’t you realize that as a woman it is these issues that hold all minority groups (for lack of a better word – I don’t mean just racial groups) back and keep them oppressed. Please, your beliefs are contradictory to what you want for yourself (or for what most women should want for themselves). Why should you have the right to vote if your friends’ can’t have the right to get married? Definitions can change, and the definition of marriage is one that should.

  • Your horny pregnant ass is obviously pretty damn slutty, I don’t know many people who are married and pose in their underwear. I’m sure your child will LOVE finding that on the internet someday

  • @ Sarah

I am confused on what you mean for what “I want for myself”. I am not a feminist, nor do I support feminism, if that is what you mean?

Anyway, I have the right to vote against it, just like they have the right (that a few of them believe) that no one should be married at all and marriage should be abolished because they believe marriage no longer works in this society, and if that were to ever come on the ballot and they voted for it, then that is their opinion, but they have the RIGHT to vote for or against it. Just like I have the right to vote for against gay marriage.

  • @ Keightlynn

could you throw in a few pictures of Monday Night football and maybe a couple shots of Waldo… I think I saw his ass in there somewhere.

It’s sweet that you have your own opinion but…

How can you have GAY FRIENDS and not support what makes them happy? It’s like saying, “Yeah, Rosa Parks was my homey, but I put a chicken wing on a string and made her fun 5 feet behind the bus”

A good looking girl like you shouldn’t be so narrow-minded.

  • @TSS

For the same reason I am religious and they don’t support that. So how can my friends not support my religion and what makes me happy?! Oh no! I should be so offended that they don’t support me and who I am! right? No.

They have their thing and I have mine, but we work around it.
Is that such a foreign idea to you guys that you can’t wrap your minds around it?

  • Your religion is what brings us all apart, thanks for that and if that really makes you happy, I don’t think I’ll be burning in hell.

  • Beet and Censorthis, thanks, that made my day and if you knew how horrible my day was, you’d understand what that means.

  • @ woohoo, dearest, bra and underwear are no different than a bikini, and usually cover more than a bikini. And that photo was taken before I was married, in November. I’m proud of my body and so is my husband.

  • Now wait a minute there young fella…

I love all my children equally (especially TSS) and would not chastize any of them for posting sexy pictures… besides my dick’s as hard as Chinese arythmatic right now …..so let it be my son…

    Let it be….

  • re; woohoo

glad to help. it’s always nice to have a little intermission during this crazy movie called life we all seem to be cast in together. and for those paying attention, this would qualify as my first sincere post ever. frame it beet.

gosh, maybe it’s time i bust out the chronic.

  • re; jk

hey, go find your own fuckin’ board where you can mod the posters. until then, leave the women who care to share their god given gifts with the world alone. i actually know for a fact that god was cool with eve showin’ her shit for all to see. until keightlynn offers me a fucking apple i wish you’d chill. dude!

  • @keightlynn: so you think being gay is wrong but you don’t force that opinion on all your gay friends, is that correct? actually, by voting to deny them the right to marry you ARE discriminating against them, and thereby forcing your opinion on them. how would you feel if your gay friends voted to legally deny you the right to practice your religion? would that be discrimination, or would that just be their opinion? you can rationalize all day, but the definition of a homophobe is one who wishes to deny equal rights to gay people simply because they’re gay. i’m suspicious of you having “many gay friends”; it probably consists of your neighbor and a coworker. oh your “gay” cousin isn’t gay, he’s a pedophile.

  • @ quirkygirlkitten

Ok, after reply to you I am no longer replying to statements directed towards me in this thread because this is getting a little boring having to explain my view again, and again, and again…

I am going to say it one more time, that would be THEIR opinion. Not discrimination. Many think that religious people should be burned at the stake (prime example was posted earlier) and you do not see me yelling DISCRIMINATION OMG! Your a religion-phobe! I have my rights to my religion! In which I do, but that is his/her opinion or belief about my belief.

Again, my gay friends are around my age, and I used to talk the one almost everyday before I got married, he is a hairstylist working for Avada. He had a huge crush on my bestfriend and we used to hang out quite often. There are also two lesbians that I met through my best friend and they say if I ever get divorced I need to date one of them, or both at the same time. AND bestfriend is/was bisexual, long and complicated story that involves a guy with a three inch penis. My cousin is gay, and he is considered a child molester, though the act was consensual- he was 18 and the kid was 15, but the kids parents pressed the charges. Another friend of mine (who is also religious) is gay, and he is currently being brought on the same charges my cousin was brought up on, almost the same exact situation.
Shall I go on because I can keep naming more, but I do believe I have made my point.

  • re; keightlynn

hey, when your husband comes out of the closet and you decide to change lanes and park in the pink zone, promise us you’ll write and tell us how happy you finally are.

until then, remember this life lesson; having two testicles doesn’t make a man better than a woman. it just helps when the baby starts teething and needs something to chew on. i guess this would be a good time to say; thanks dad!!

  • Please quit lumping all Christians together as being fanatics. My faith taught me to be kind and respectful of others. If someone is happy and treats others with respect that is really all that matters isn’t it.Hate really takes too much energy

  • Jesus Christ, people, I haven’t checked this thread in hours and you guys STILL haven’t determined whether or not bigots can be thin? I call for a vote.

  • I’m all over prop 102. I don’t care who gets married to who, we all deserve a chance to be happy/miserable. Besides I have to vote to keep our immigration laws strict.

  • Oh, and now that I know Jesus reads this blog I’d just like to post that I love him. Without actually believing in him at all. <3

  • Beet:

I think I’ve already proved my point upthread that bigots can, and often are, very thin. And if I haven’t proved the point, Caitlin did with her self-aggrandizing photos

And (wow!) since JC himself posted it was OK with him, it’s OK with me.

Please stick around Caitlin. You sound like you’ve got lots of opinions about lots of things. We love that here.

  • awww rachel.

    to quote one of the coolest men ever to walk the planet;

There’s things about me you don’t know, Dottie. Things you wouldn’t understand. ….

    love,
    censor

  • well then;

For twenty dollars I can tell you a lot of things. For thirty dollars I can tell you more. And for fifty dollars I can tell you *everything*.

  • @ keightlynn, I hate you, you’re so young and cute ;-)

@ censorthis, having the guts to say your feelings without being pushy and trying to push your morals on someone else is a hard feat, obviously one you can not do

@ evilbeet, after living in the south for 20 years I learned very few fanatics are fat, it goes against the whole your body is a temple thing.

And this song is so true http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bLPELvj7I4 I’ve been in that type of church many times, and met Sister Bertha

  • re; lorelei

first of all, when you show up late to the fucking party, don’t go trying to tell the rest of the gang how they should or shouldn’t have been acting before you got there. and secondly, i’ve been told that i’m actually quite sensitive and emotional, so please don’t send me to bed in tears tonight. and lastly, if i were a moral pusher, i guarantee that i’d have you tying up and feeling my warmth spread through your veins in less time that it takes you to decide how to actually spell your name.

  • KLynn – you don’t even know what feminism mean based on your post. Please go look it up. And I also agree that you are discriminating, it’s not just an opinion. You fail to see that marginalized groups deserve representation and fair and equal treatment in society. Again – why do you deserve your rights if others do not? Because you are hetero?

  • kate is my sister inlaws cousin. She doesn’t hav a lot to do with he family. they dont go to any wedding’s. And I wonder if there isn’t a gay person in the family. No name’s here.

  • re; linda

ohhh, juicy. juicy. juicy….. i’m guessing you’re outing steven as he is partners with two openly gay men in katzenberg and geffen. i just love it when non related but still name dropping anonymous people like you get to strut their stuff for large audiences and tease them with titillating tidbits about shit you really have no clue about. i’m guessing your sister in law is 100 times worse than you, which makes her a grade A annoying twat, instead of your lowly C. and while we’re on subject, my neighbor down the street is a 3rd cousin to will smiths step uncle on his mothers side who says, without saying names, that someone close to will isn’t really the sex we think she is but is actually a transgender who used to be named jason. you didn’t hear it from me though!

  • @ Linda

I had stopped replying to posts in this thread, but I can’t ignore this one, this is just too good.

    Ok, Lindaaa,
I really doubt you know who I am. And whoever you are, you need to learn some grammar. Sister in-laws cousin? that’s kinda stretching it.
    *rolls eyes*

  • Research indicates that pedophiles are overwhelmingly HETEROSEXUAL men.

Research overwhelmingly concludes that sexuality is determined by genetics. Homosexuality is not an opinion that you can disagree with. That’s like saying you don’t agree with gravity. So what?

The 2 most common defenses used by pedophiles who get caught are:
1 He/she (i.e., the victim) made me do it. He/she seduced me.
    2. It was consensual.

And most people in jail will tell that they are completely innocent (unfortunately, a fair number are).
