Today's Evil Beet Gossip

La Lohan’s Converting to Judaism

Welcome to the tribe, Lindsay!

Ms. Lohan is reportedly planning to convert to Judaism after learning about the religion from her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson.

“As long as she believes in God,” says her dad, although he doesn’t think Lindsay really plans to stick to it. “She’s exploring right now,” he says. “She’s explored the Church of Scientology, she tried Kabbalah, and now this. I think it’s just another phase. But either way, she’s involving God in her life, and I’m happy about that.”

  • Who gives a rats ass.

Beet – you’re more lohanian than phelpian and that disturbs me.

  • He says the stupidest shit and only creates more negative gossip about her. He doesn’t know ANYTHING that’s going on in her life. Guarantee it. I’m sure she’s cut him off a long time ago. He just runs his mouth to stay in the lime light.

  • Ugh. Michael Lohan must be on the speed dial of all the gossip columnists. He will give a quote to any body, for anything.

  • It is not easy as just “converting” by saying so. It is not just saying you are a Jew. For even the most simple ‘conversion process’ it still takes approximately a years worth of classes at a Synagogue with a Rabbi. Not everyone is able to stick with it long enough to complete the process.

  • In this case, this is probably a good thing. She’ll be distracted by the next thing in three months.

    /oh, shiny

  • I was under the impression that judaism didn’t support lesbianism…(I’m not against homosexuality, or judaism, either.) But wouldn’t that be a slight problem if Lindsey really is in fact (Duh) dating Samantha Ronson? I don’t think the religion really supports that at all….I could be wrong/I hope I’m wrong..

  • I think it’s pretty funny Michael is available to comment on any half ass rumor that is floating around about Lindsay. Desperate much?
This one seems more buyable then Ronson and Lindsay getting married sometime soon, but still.

  • Hillary, I thought so too, but apparently conservative judaism is all for it, it’s the orthodoxic judaism that doesnät approve.

  • yep, liberal/reform judaism is one of the most open sects and most rabbi’s would absolutely welcome gay couples into their synagogue, and do. go lohan!
