Today in Genius: Top Chef Junior

OMG I hate that I’m really excited about this.

I’ve kind of gotten over the regular Top Chef. I haven’t watched it in about a year. It just gets boring after awhile; same shit different day, you know? Who won last night anyway? Was it a chick? A year ago, the winner of Top Chef would be all over the news the next day. But today, no one seems to care at all.

But I will totally watch this!

The folks at Bravo have given the green light to Top Chef Junior, a version of Top Chef that will feature chefs between the ages of 13 and 16.

What I’m most looking forward to is all the teenage sex they’re going to be having when they’re not cooking. It’ll be dramatastic!

  • This year was very disappointing on Top Chef. From the very first episode they mentioned that there had NOT been a woman Top Chef and you knew that the producers had already picked the female they wanted to win.
I won’t be watching the show any more. It’s blithe on all the contestants and fans.

  • I LOVE Love love Top Chef! I even got my husband to watch it this year & he loved it too. My kiddos are 5 & 4 & would have loved to watch it with us but the language was too bad (even if they did bleep it out.) Sooooo the point is I’m VERY excited for the JR edition!
I’m really bad with names but I think Stephanie won. Not the lesbian the other girl.

  • I am watching the finale right now. I love Top Chef Sr and I will watch Jr. TC is the only reality show I like any more!

  • Crap, I’ve spoiled the finale for myself. Oh well.

I’ll watch anything with Top Chef in the name. I enjoyed this season just as much as the other three. Even more, since there was less asshattery.

  • Also, they mentioned there hadn’t been a female top chef because there hadn’t. It’s a fact, not foreshadowing. If you can’t suspend belief and just watch without being paranoid about the behind the scenes crap, then don’t watch reality TV I guess.

Or maybe I just have a huge crush on Tom Colicchio.
