Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Pamela Anderson Does Something Responsible

pammy.jpg

Despite denial after denial, it appears E! will be moving forward with the Pamela Anderson reality TV show, titled, amazingly, Pamela.

However: Unlike every other reality TV show out there, Pamela’s show WILL NOT feature her children.

Hooray!

Okay, I mentioned awhile back that I ran into some trouble with the Kardashians. I still can’t tell you guys the whole story, but I’ll tell you this part: I received a call from one of their representatives. Apparently somebody had posted Kylie and Kendall Jenner’s correct cell phone number under an article about them on Evil Beet. Kris Jenner was very upset. The girls were getting phone calls in the middle of the night. The rep was also furious because some of my commenters had posted sexual and/or rude things about the girls. And, basically, he was like “What the fuck are you doing writing about pre-teen girls on your website?” And my response was basically like “Well what the fuck are you doing featuring pre-teen girls on your TV show?” Like, if you don’t want your small children in the public eye, and dealing with all the crap that comes along with it, don’t put them on TV. The photos I ran of Kylie and Kendall were taken at a press event, not on the school playground. If you don’t want their photos on the Internet, don’t have them pose for paparazzi at press events.

I did agree to take down the girls’ phone number, so don’t go looking for it, but the story continues from there. I’ll tell you the rest some other time.

Also: Thank you all soooo much for your comments and emails about Charlie. I can’t tell you how much it means to me. He made it through the night, and is showing small signs of improvement today, but is still very ill and not at all out of the woods. So please keep sending him love and healthy vibes!!! I love you guys so much for all your support.

  • SO glad to hear about puppy… crossed-fingers for his continual improvement.

and you couldn’t be more right about the kids – if you don’t want them talked about – don’t parade them around.

  • yay go Charlie!
woo. he is gunna make it =]
feel better charlie and get healthier by the min!

  • Hang in There Charlie!!!! I know he’s gonna be okay. I have a good feeling about this, and I’m never wrong……….I’m espcially never wrong when it comes to my opinions on that whole skanky, talentless Kardashian Klan. Including the skanks-in-training who sadly don’t stand a chance of having an ounce of class or poise given they got hit with a DNA shit stick. If they want to protect them, stop dragging them across my TV set.

  • Good luck to you and to Charlie! I wish him the best of health. Just try to relax, Beet…i know he’ll be fine even though it’s really scary right now.

  • Charlie, love you and your sweet little face lots, hope you feel better soon. p.s, your human Beet is pretty hot xxxx

  • So glad to hear that! I was looking all day for an update on the wee Charlie. Still sending good, strong thoughts his way! You can do it Charlie Beet!

  • sooooo my boyfriend and i were watching tv the other day and keeping up with the kardashians came on. and he’s like “who are these people and why do they have a reality show?” and i was like “the one daughter had a sex tape with ray-j and has a huge ass, and the stepdad is bruce jenner and the mom used to be married to some guy who was friends with oj simpson.” i then proceeded to fall asleep. apparently, my boyfriend watched the show. i woke up a little later, and the first words out of his mouth were “wow, i really hate the kardashians.” hahahahhaha.

anyways, here’s good thoughts for charlie to keep improving!! xoxox.

  • The vet just has to keep him hydrated so that the virus can pass.Dangerous, but not always fatal to small dogs,Rottweilers and German sheppards dont have a chance though.. Good luck.

  • I am praying for Charlie. I didn’t know about the virus – and I am apuppy owner too. Thanks for the info and puppy and I are thinking of Charlie!

  • I don’t know what the deal is with the page, but I can’t comment on any other thread but this one… anyways, I’m very sorry to hear about Charlie. That Parvo really kicks their little asses. Losing pets is like losing children… I’m REALLY not looking forward to the day when I know how you feel right now :(

  • That was my post above… I don’t know what the deal is with the screen names. Damn dreary Tuesdays.

  • Hey Melissa, I had the exact same problem and then I finally figured it out: if you use the F word, it won’t post. (kinda weird since beet can use the f word tons in the actual writing, I know) but that’s the rule, so you have to put an asterisks or something like that – f**

  • I didn’t drop any f-bombs though. I think it’s just my crappy machine. I refreshed the page, and it worked again.

Again… damn dreary Tuesdays… rain and cold sucks!

  • Beet,
I enjoy reading your website….I check it relatively often, and find that in most cases I dig your slant on things…..however, with that said, I must respectfully put forth that your defense of your coverage of the youngest Kardashian girls is extremely weak. your argument suggests that you (as I do) that it’s wrong to feature these girls in this context on this kind of show( I mean honestly, two lil’ KIDS on a STRIPPER POLE, for cryin’ out loud? Not cool). If you really believe so, then it’s equally wrong to cover them on your website.
Essentially you’re saying….”Someone else is doing something wrong, so that means it’s okay for me to do it.” This doesn’t seem like a very good argument. I know it’s a bit cliche to say that if you’re not a part of the solution, then you’re a part of the problem….but I believe this particular turn of phrase stands up under these circumstances.
Yes indeed, Shame on The Kardashians, the production company, and the network for having these kids on the show….But if that’s true, then from an outside perspective it’s just as easy and valid to say shame on YOU. Your argument is almost more effective being used against you than being used by you as a defense. I would encourage you to just not go there with the Kardashian children. Simply don’t cover them, or any other kids too young to have made a mature, informed decision about being in the public eye. Let ’em at least get old enough so that they and they alone can be blamed for the stupid shit they do. I mean honestly, there are so many people you can cover that are of age, and even the ones who aren’t of age, eventually become of age(Hillary Duff anyone?) It wouldn’t be a struggle at all to Keep it over at least voting age, would it?

    Cheers,
    Pop

  • Beet,
by the way…sorry about your pooch…..I’m sure that must’ve been very difficult for you.
