She’s back, and she’s still cute as hell.

Katie and Suri are back in LA, and, they decided to swing by The Grove on Friday. Looks like they did some shopping at Pottery Barn Kids.

It seems like Suri’s getting more comfortable around the cameras, and she sure is photogenic.

  • katie looks 45 in that picture. and since she’s rolling in the dough, could she afford someone to hem those pants?
eat something woman! and stop dressing like your mother! just because you’re a mom doesn’t mean you have to start dressing like your mom!

  • something about that child does not look right, she has the look of a child with autism, the same kind of blank stare with no eye contact.

  • Perhaps Tom keeps having Katie and Suri have the same hair to disguise the fact that they really do not look anything alike. You would think that a baby would look somewhat like her ‘mother’, wouldn’t you?

  • Those pants are pretty awful, I agree. But Suri’s cute. And autism? Give me a break. Who’s she supposed to be making eye contact with, the paparazzi? If she were smiling and posing, at her age, now THAT would be creepy.

  • That wide-eyed alien child is NOT cute, perhaps summer is on to something with her stare. I was wondering to myself, does this child EVER smile. I mean she has the world at her feet and she always looks, well blank!

  • Her origins are questionable and I don’t know where exactly she came from, but she’s cute. The jerk who brought up the autism thing needs to be pelted with rocks and Britney Spear’s old thongs.

  • I’ve been viewing photos of Suri over the past months and it troubles me as she does indeed appear to have several autistic tendencies/traits including the blank stare, the way she holds her arms/hands and the fact she is always holding to a security item such as a blanket or a bottle. As a parent with a daughter with the disorder, I’m very in-tune to these behaviors. Also, I’ve only seen one photograph where she was actually looking at one of her parents, typically she is just staring into space. Just an observation, hopefully it is just a phase or she is intimidated by the ever present cameras that are always in her little face and nothing more……..

  • I have read much about the current theories of what causes autism and the most plausible one if the combination of genetics and environmental damage. Ultrasound is the most obvious enironmental cause and Tom Cruise had his own ultrasound machine to bombard his daughter with high frequency sound waves in utero. These sound waves create heat, and have been shown to cause damage to fetal tissue. Unfortunately very little research has been done on pre-natal ultrasound.

  • I have a 4 yr old autistic daughter. I just saw pictures on tv of Suri with her mom. The first thing i did was google pictures, because yes, she looks very much like my daughter at that age. Then I googled Suri & autism. Guess I am not the only one who noticed this.

There is a beautiful serene quality about autistic girls, especially as toddlers.

I noticed the disconnection in Suri’s eyes that I remember of my daughter’s.

Being that their religion bans vaccination, this could be interesting if Suri is in fact on the spectrum. It would also be very uncanny, as John Travolta also has an autistic child.

  • Summer, r u crazy! Do you even know what autism is? I don’t think so! Her haircut is cute, maybe a little old but who cares. Your obviously are a very judgemental person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wrote a comment on this site back in December ’07 that I saw possible signs of autism with little Suri. It is now July ’08 and unfortunately, the photographs and videos I’ve seen of Suri (the most photographed and adorable child) over the past 7 months continue to concern me. The following are just a few things that I’ve noticed: Kate & Tom are always giving Suri things to hold (bottle, shoe, money) which is a technique some use to keep the child’s hands “busy” and prevent her from exhibiting stereotypical hand movements. In almost every photo of Suri, she is posturing and trying to get away from her parent’s or she is sleepy and disinterested in what’s going on around her. Also, she is never looking at her parents or showing any interest in their faces or what they are saying and she has a consistent disconnected look in her eyes and on her face. There were recent photos of Suri and Tom in a park and the only thing she did was pick-up sand and run it through her fingers; no interaction or interest in the other children, her father or the playground equipment. I realize that Suri is shy of 2.5 years-old and some would say that her behavior is due to the fact she is a toddler, but autism is typically obvious and diagnosed between age 2-3years-old.
Hopefully for little Suri and her family, my instincts in this matter are way off base.

  • I have seen recent photos of Suri with her hands covering her ears like she is in pain. The one photo with her leaving a theatre is most concerning. My son who has autism has never been able to sit in a theatre because of the effects of the sound equipment. This is common with autistic children, because they have sound sensitivity problems. Also, Tom Cruise has dyslexia. They have found genetic links to families that have autism usually has dyslexia in the family genetic tree. I hope that the Cruise family is getting her the help she might need. If autism is caught early and treated with the new interventions and therapy children can lead better lives.

  • If Suri is not autistic her resemblance to an autistic child in media photos is uncanny.

  • Suri Cruise is not autistic. You wanna see real autism go to you tube and type in severe autism. This whole bit about people who have blank stares and whatever. It’s all out of control. Has anyone noticed that lately every child being diagnosed is aspergers? HELLO. It’s called groupthink. Wake the hell up you morons.
