Meh. She was over the top. And those high notes she was holding out…blech.
I must have missed something because i thought it was really not that good. She is yelling the song and it come across as very abrasive.

She has a good deal of control, but the voice is just not pretty. She lacks charisma and nuance when she sings.
ACK ACK ACK not impressed and certainly there are better looking clothes out there for big gals.

I thought she did a fine job here. It’s not a great song to sing on its own. I’ve always felt it was over-rated and should only be sung in “West Side Story,” the show. I’d like to hear Jennifer Hudson sing some soulful power ballads, more in the r & b vein.
She could certainly play Aretha, but I’m holding out for an unknown to get the part. Franklin should hit the Baptist churches around the nation. There is an attractive girl of 20 out there that is perfect for the role and can sing her behind off. Find her, Aretha!
Well i think you all have hearing problems or are just plain stupid, this women has an amazing voice and she really knows how to use it. if you don’t agree then you obviously havn’t heard her sing at anyother time such as in dream girls that women can give ya goosebumps
