Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Just. Because.

You guys, I’m so sorry posting has been slow since Friday. I am trapped at my mother’s house in Phoenix where I have no friends and the Internet here sucks and my cell phone doesn’t get reception and we’re having so much trouble moving over to the new server and I have to spend all damn day tomorrow getting crappy tests at a stupid doctor’s office (long story) and I just want to cry, you guys. I’m in the worst mood ever.

So anyway. This song came on the radio today and I was like “Oh my God, I love this song.” And then I was happy for like two minutes, and that was nice.

(Love you, Anna!)

  • Gee. Sounds like you’re going through a tough patch right now. I love your site, humor and writing style. So, believe me when I say that, even though we don’t know each other, I wish you well. When you wake up in the morning, remember that line from “Chicken Little” (I have a 4-year-old): “Today is a new day.” God Bless!

  • Awww, Beet, honey! I’ll send you some Modern English and a couple of Rick Springfield songs. That always makes me feel better. Oooh, and I have cake! Come on over! Love the Beet. Get back to civilization soon!

  • If it helps we miss u when you’re gone. Good luck with the doctor. And count your blessings, girl, ’cause you’ve got it going on.

  • You’re in Phoenix? OMG I totally would’ve invited you over so we could’ve watched Rock of Love Finale (btw, no spoiler here, but Heather could’ve been a litte more emotional) while my 4 year-old hung on me and begged me to watch Peter Cottontail with him, and my bf asked for another drink, and the smoke alarm kept going off because i had the oven on, and my dog was barking because i had to air out the house and the front door was open…but hey! the computer room was quiet. maybe not. Well, at least my parents aren’t visiting.

  • I went to Phoenix accidently chasing my money. The only thing I loved was swimming at midnight because it was still 100 degrees. Tumbleweeds scare me. If you can’t go swimming, Evil One, snore loudly in the doctors’ office. Everyone leaves you alone except the receptionist who rushes you right in. Also the scale adds ten pounds-so you can take that off the top and don’t forget the heavy sandals.

  • Anna I LOVE Valerie too! I never knew anyone else that did before. I’m trapped at my mothers house in Fountain Hills, so we have 2 things in common. I hope everything goes good with your tests too. julie

  • I would be depressed if I had to spend the weekend with your mom too. :-) Why didn’t you call me? We could have hung out.

    Love ya
